Since 2016, Papy Booom has been bringing change and connecting generations. Born in Brussels, our association believes everyone deserves a place, at every age.
Our story
It starts with
a different perspective.
Working as a specialist educator and social worker in a care home, Youssef Kaddar sees the importance of breaking isolation every day. He decides to put the spotlight on people, their talents and their aspirations.
A first video shared on Facebook in April 2015 sparks enthusiasm. The web series begins in January 2016, and the association is established that October. More projects follow, always with seniors at their heart.

Youssef Kaddar

A specialist educator and social worker, he has worked in care homes since 2010. He founded Papy Booom to change perceptions of ageing and improve residents’ daily lives.

During the Covid period, she helped develop several projects, bringing her expertise in people’s needs and everyday functioning.

He brings his audiovisual skills to seniors’ stories and helps the association reach a wider audience.

He created the web series’ first visuals and videos. Although less active today, he remains part of the project’s story.
